How do I print from my laptop?

Answer

Birkbeck students and staff can print wirelessly from their own device if connected to the eduroam network. To do this, log into the wireless printing site, https://wifiprint.bbk.ac.uk, using your Birkbeck username and password.

If you are going to use the library printers most of the time, it is a good idea to go to 'My Printers' and favourite 'Library B/W (Mono) Queue' and any others you may regularly use, so that you do not have to select them from the full list of printers each time.

Click on 'My Printers', tick ones to save and save the changes.

Back on 'My Print Jobs, click on 'Choose file' to select the file you want to print and then click 'Next'.

Next you click the printer you want to send the job to. If you want to print double-sided, or multiple copies, tick the 'Advanced' box to bring up these options, then click on the printer name, e.g. 'Library B/W (Mono) Queue' to send the print job.

To collect the print job, log into one of the printers and select print job release.
