Do I need to renew my loans?

Most of your borrowed items will be renewed automatically. This means you won't get fines for forgetting to renew your items. If an item is requested by another library user, it cannot be renewed and must be returned by the due date. We will notify you of this by email.
Make sure we have your current contact email.
Exceptions apply to one-day and two-hour items (which are in high-demand and cannot be renewed).
To request a renewal of an interlibrary loan, login to your account. You can renew any item at no cost once if the other library agrees. Further renewals will cost £5 per renewal.
Fines were suspended in 2020 as a pandemic adjustment. From 9th July 2022 fines were reintroduced for overdue requested items, overdue interlibrary loans, one-day and two-hour loans.
